Dave Iles began mowing lawns for neighbors and talking his mom into putting his mower into the back of the family van and being dropped off. That was in the mid-1990s.

Once he was old enough to get his license and his first truck, he started mowing professionally and continued as a way to pay for college. After graduating from Northern Kentucky University, he decided to follow his passion for making things beautiful and began to expand the operation. Today, American Landscapes employs dozens of dedicated professionals and operates 15+ crews, still servicing many of the same customers from Dave’s school days. 

Over the years, American Landscapes has expanded from grass cutting into other lawn and landscape services. Due to customer demand, in 2006, American Landscapes began offering lawn fertilizer and weed control to its customers. They invested heavily into the equipment and knowledge to do this service right and began providing customers with a top-notch experience. 

They took their program from better to best in 2020 by changing the ingredients and application methods. The new formulation made its lawn applications incomparable to even the best competitors. American Landscapes is excited to offer its customers the truly best lawn care in town. 

In 2010, we began offering landscape lighting. Since then, landscape lighting has been a favorite passion as management and staff continue to learn and implement design techniques that improve customer properties after dark. Today, we offer full landscape lighting design as well as Christmas lighting and outdoor audio.
